Remanufacturer of the Year Award 2008

In a move reflecting the growing automotive remanufacturing activity in Eastern Europe, the winner of ReMaTecNews’ Annual Award, The Remanufacturer of the Year Award, for 2008 will be honoured at a ceremony in Warsaw in April. Coinciding with the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association’s European symposium and APRA’s one-day reman exhibition in the Polish capital, the winner will be announced at the Intercontinental Hotel in Warsaw on April 14. Consequently, nominations should be submitted no later than March 1 to remanaward@rematecnews.com.

Instituted in 2005, the Remanufacturer of the Year award is intended to honour an individual or business that has served the automotive reman industry with distinction. Candidates can be nominated by anyone and will be considered by the judges on the basis of technical excellence, dedication to quality, innovation, customer service, pioneering, activities and commitment to the cause of remanufacturing.

The panel of judges consists of Volker Schittenhelm, FIRM; Willem Bierema, Product Manager, RAI Exhibitions; Jos Veldhuisen, Editor-in-Chief, Autokompas, Amsterdam; Fernand Weiland, Chairman, APRA’s European Division and William Schwarck, Editor-in-Chief, ReMaTecNews. The judges will consider all nominations, but will not be bound by any specific submission and their decision will remain confidential until the announcement of the award during the ceremony in Warsaw in April.

Besides the award itself, the winner will receive a special recognition that can be used for promotional purposes, i.e. websites, flyers, letterheads, signs. Please note that all submissions must include a clear and reasoned explanation of the reasons for the nomination as well as the background of the company or individual proposed. Candidates who have been nominated in previous years can be renominated providing they meet the overall criteria. Owing to the fact that qualified candidates were nominated for the previous awards in 2005, 2006 and 2007 the panel of judges will, without obligation, welcome such nominations again.
